For my first-year film school project, I had the opportunity to lead a group animation project based on the classic Nordic fairytale "The Three Billy Goats Gruff". As the project director, I was responsible for a wide range of tasks, including creating the storyboard, designing the characters, revising the animation, and editing the final product. Though it was a challenging process, I am proud to have been a part of bringing this wonderful story to life on screen.
The Three Billy Goats Gruff is a timeless tale of three goats who need to cross a bridge to find food, but must first face a menacing troll who lives underneath the bridge. As a group, we worked to carefully craft the story to ensure that it captured the essence of the original tale while also presenting it in a fresh and engaging way for modern audiences.
My role in the project was both exhilarating and exhausting. As the director, I was responsible for overseeing the project from start to finish, including developing the initial concept and managing the workflow of the entire team. I worked closely with the animators to ensure that the characters and scenes were brought to life in a compelling and authentic way.
Despite the challenges, seeing the final product was an incredibly rewarding experience. The animation successfully captured the magic of the original fairytale, and I am proud of the work that our team was able to accomplish. GeroGeroDon will always hold a special place in my heart as a reminder of the power of storytelling and the importance of collaboration in bringing great ideas to life.
